About Me
I am one of three Transeva practitioners based in the UK and the only one based in Cheshire. My education in Transeva Therapy began in 2013 when I attended BSET Academy based at the Natal Equine Rehabilitation Center in Howick, South Africa. During my time there I was trained by Beth Shaw and her assistant Abi Lewis who named ETT and the skill required to pinpoint and treat musculoskeletal dysfuction within the equine athlete using the WG Transeva.
Before attending BSET Academy I studied at the University of Pretoria and graduated with a BSc and hold a Diploma in Sports Massage.
I have worked with horses from a young age and have a background in showjumping, eventing and dressage and later became familiar with polo and racing. Over time I developed a keen interest in soft tissue therapy for both horses and humans. Once in the UK I became involved with Priory Farm Equine Spa and Rehab Centre where I provided treatments to the horses as well as assisting with the spa and treadmill work.
My fascination with soft tissue therapy began at 14 with Rose Holly my horse. She was incredibly talented but due to back pain she was unable to reach her full potential despite having regular physiotherapy sessions.
My belief now is that Pulse Therapy and the use of the Transeva would have been the turning point for Rose Holly as I have seen it be for so many horses.
My aim is to provide the best application of treatment and rehabilitation to improve the soundness and comfort of the horse. By viewing each case as an individual and considering all factors involved I wish to provide the horse with its best chance at reaching its potential. Be it in Racing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Polo ect.
